When you send mail or upload files online, you are limited in the size of the attached file, it's frustrating if you can't solve it. You are forced to split it out. Then you will need HJ-Split.
Main interface of HJ-Split file splitting software
HJ-Split is a small but powerful application to split and join files strong> of any format. HJ-Split both has the ability to help you split a file into smaller parts and merge those parts into a complete original file, and has auxiliary functions such as comparing 2 files and checking. check the file's checksum.
HJ-Split is compressed in a ZIP file, just unzip and double click the hjsplit.exe file to run without installation. You can also easily copy HJ-Split to removable drives and run it from any device.
HJ Split's interface is extremely simple, with four functions performed via buttons, including: Split (split files), < strong>Join (join files), Compare (compare files), Checksum (computes MD5 Checksum).
To split a file, you must select the source file, the output directory, and the size of the part you want to split (in KB or MB). Compared to FFSJ HJ-Split has less options to split files, in addition to dividing by size, FFSJ also allows you to choose the number of parts you want to split.
Split files quickly with HJ-Split
When joining files with HJ-Splite it creates a file and appends the suffix ".joined" after the original filename. You need to make sure that all the subsections are placed in the same folder, as HJ-Splite will automatically search for them.
For example, if you split a file into 3 parts, but only 2 parts are in the same folder. When HJ-Splite asks you to open the first section, it scans the subsequent sections in the same section and joins them together. But since the 3rd file is not in this section, the concatenated file will only have parts 1 and 2. This concatenated file cannot be used because the 3rd part is missing.
The Compare function is pretty basic, it says whether two files to be compared are of the same length. Furthermore, the Checksum function calculates and allows you to copy the MD5 Checksum of any imported file. The program uses a negligible amount of system resources.
Checksum feature of HJ-Split file joining tool
Overall, HJ-Split is a good tool to split and join files of any size. It is especially useful when you need to split large files to store them on removable drives, or send them via email. Completely free, does not consume system resources and does not come with unwanted software are the advantages of HJ-Split. Download HJ-Split to split or merge your files.
To use the program, select Split to split or Join to merge files. With splitting, you will be asked for the size of each part, select the file to work with, and then press OK. The concatenation is equally simple, select the first file among those split files and select the destination filename, OK is fine.
To use auxiliary functions such as comparing 2 files or checking the checksum, press Compare or Checksum respectively.
